Funeral service for Mr. Terrell Jamal Terry, 45 of Buena Park, CA will be held Tuesday, September 15, 2026, 11:00 a.m. at Greater Vision Community Church in Killeen, TX. Burial will follow the service at the Garden of Memories Cemetery in Killeen, TX.

Viewing will be held one hour prior to the service (10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m.) at the church.

Terrell J. Terry was born on May 17, 1981, in Heidelberg, Germany to Guy B. Jones and Karen R. Jones. Terrell lived in Wake Forest, NC and Raleigh, NC for several years with his family before moving to Killeen, Texas with his mother and siblings in August 1995. He was 14 years old. Terrell was affectionately called “ TJ” by family members and friends. Mr. Terry passed away August 19, 2026, in Buena Park, CA.

Terrell attended Manor Middle School and Ellison High School in Killeen, Texas. He attended his senior year of High School and graduated from Wake Forest - Rolesville High School in Wake Forest, NC.

Terrell has seven siblings in total living in North Carolina and Texas. Terrell had fun with his siblings growing up in Texas. He spent time with family and siblings throughout the years in North Carolina as well. Terrell has an abundance of family who love him.

Terrell loved books as a child, he loved to write as well. Books and writing was a passion he continued to enjoy well into adulthood. He had a mission to pursue his creative writing. Teacher’s praised his writing skills and he won several writing awards in school. He was very proud of them. Terrell wrote about his life’s journey and whatever was in his heart. He could be quiet and introspective at times. He pursued his passions, loved music and was a free spirit. He had a smile that lit up a room.

Terrell joined the Air Force February 9, 2000. He completed all entrance exams, basic training and advanced training. His family circle taught him lessons to live by as he continued his journey in life. Terrell traveled to different states and cities throughout his life. He spent the majority of his later years in life in San Francisco and Buena Park California.

Terrell never married or had children. Terrell’s memory will always be kept alive through the love of his family and friends. He was blessed in his life, and he will be missed beyond words. Gone too soon.

Terrell leaves behind to cherish all of his memories, Father, Guy B. Jones (Patricia) Mother, Karen R. Jones, Grandparents, Earl D. and Carolyn Terry Jr., Brothers; William Jones, Patrick Crudup (Jill), Marcus Jones, Sisters; Tieshia Anderson, Latricia Holloway (Sherod), Matheshia Roberts (Chris). Uncles; Earl D. Terry III (Trina), Micheal Terry (Beth), Michael Jones (Tammy). Aunts; Karen Kirby (Darren), Brenda Jones. And a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
