In Loving Memory of Bobby Matthew Reynolds, Sr.
Bobby Matthew Reynolds, Sr. was born on June 7, 1964, in Bowling Green, Kentucky, to the late Lawrence Reynolds and Bettye Ford Reynolds.
Bobby graduated from Warren Central High School in Bowling Green, Kentucky. Following graduation, he answered the call to serve his country by enlisting in the United States Army, where he proudly served for 14 years. During his military career, he was stationed in Seoul, South Korea; Fort Riley, Kansas; Fort Campbell, Kentucky; Downs Barracks in Fulda, Germany; and Fort Hood, Texas. While stationed at Fort Hood, he also completed a brief deployment to Somalia. Through dedication and hard work, Bobby attained the rank of Sergeant (E-5).
While stationed at Fort Riley, Kansas, Bobby met Wanda Kelly Reynolds, who was also serving in the United States Army. They married and shared 40 years together, raising and caring for three children. Wanda continued to be a steadfast source of support, care, and friendship throughout the remainder of Bobby's life.
After his military service, Bobby dedicated 17 years to the Texas Department of Criminal Justice before beginning a career with Walmart, where he served in Asset Protection.
In September 2012, Bobby was baptized at Greater Peace Missionary Baptist Church, where he remained a faithful member until his passing. He loved the Lord and lived his faith with sincerity and devotion.
Bobby was known for his warm sense of humor and infectious laughter. He enjoyed fishing, watching sports, and spending quality time with his family. Above all, he was a devoted father who cherished every opportunity to be with his children and grandchildren.
Bobby departed this life leaving to cherish his memory his lifelong friend, Wanda Kelly Reynolds; one son, Joshua Randall Reynolds, Sr. (April) of Killeen, Texas; one daughter, LaKeisha Hewitt of Bowling Green, Kentucky; two sisters, Shirley Reynolds and Denise Reynolds, both of Bowling Green, Kentucky; nine grandchildren: Jaliyah Reynolds and Bria Reynolds of San Antonio, Texas; Amiyah Carter, Majoria Carter, and Siri Carter of Bowling Green, Kentucky; Alexis Woods, Shaheim Woods, Alana Woods, and Joshua Reynolds, Jr.; one great-grandson, Ray Viers of Killeen, Texas; and a host of beloved cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his beloved son, Bobby Matthew Reynolds, Jr., his parents, Lawrence Reynolds and Bettye Ford Reynolds and brother, Nathan Reynolds.
