Killeen
Visitation service for Mr. Miguel Angel Rivera, 58 of Killeen, TX will be held Sunday, January 18, 2026, 12:00 p.m. at Chisolm's Family Funeral Home in Killeen, TX. Burial will follow the service at the Garden of Memories Cemetery in Killeen, TX.
Miguel Angel Rivera Ocasio, 58, passed away on January 6, 2026, leaving behind a legacy filled with love, laughter, and unwavering devotion to his family.
Miguel was born in Río Piedras, Puerto Rico, to Luz M. Ocasio and Miguel Rivera, and was lovingly raised alongside his stepfather, Rafael Rivera. He later made his home in Killeen, Texas, where he lived for over 20 years and became known not only for his hardworking nature, but also for his humor and ability to make others smile.
Miguel proudly served in the Puerto Rico National Guard, from which he was honorably discharged. A skilled handyman, he took pride in fixing things and helping others, often turning even hard work into moments of laughter. Miguel had a natural gift for humor—he loved joking around, teasing those he loved, and bringing light into any room he entered. His laughter was contagious, and his jokes will be remembered just as much as his generosity.
He was married to Beatrice Collazo and was a devoted father to his three daughters, Michelle Rivera, Shakira Rivera, and Francheska Rivera, who were the greatest joy of his life. Miguel was also a proud and loving grandfather to eight grandchildren—Jeremy Ortiz, Jorge L. Quintanal III, Eniel Perez, Evelyn Perez, Emily Perez, Luke Hart, Leeland Hart, and Lorena Hart—who adored his playful spirit and loving heart.
Miguel is survived by his mother, Luz M. Ocasio; his stepfather, Rafael Rivera; his brothers, Eliesel Rivera and Alberto Camacho; his sisters, Wanda Rivera and Magaly Rivera; and many beloved nephews and a niece. He will be remembered for his big heart, his quick wit, his kindness, and his ability to turn ordinary moments into cherished memories.
Though he is deeply missed, the laughter Miguel Angel Rivera Ocasio brought into this world will continue to echo through the lives of all who loved him.
