Memorial service for Ms. Mazel Josephine Martin, 80 of Killeen, TX will be held Tuesday, July 26, 2022, 10:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Killeen, TX. A private family interment will be held at a later date.

Mazel Josephine Martin, age 80, passed away peacefully at her home on July 18, 2022.

Mazel was born February 21, 1942, in St. Martinsville Louisiana to Morris and Minola Martin. She graduated from Carver High School in Breaux Bridge Louisiana. In 1976 she graduated from Central Texas College as a Licensed Vocational Nurse.

She was a dedicated LVN at Metroplex Hospital, Darnell Army Hospital, Primus Clinics, and volunteered at the Free Clinic in Killeen Texas. She worked in this profession for over 32 years. After retirement she continued to volunteer at Metroplex. She was loving and compassionate with the care she gave her patients and her interaction with her coworkers. She made you feel like family.

She leaves to cherish her forever: three children, Harris Joseph Mouton Jr. of Killeen Texas, Karen Marie Mouton of Killeen Texas, and Wendell James Mouton of Mansfield Texas; three sisters, Rosina M. Holland, Shirley M. Cathey, and Elaine Martin; five brothers, Morris Martin, Wadley Martin, Ronald Martin, Terry Martin, Michael Martin; and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives, and dear friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents Morris and Minola Martin, brother Edward Martin, sisters Mary Martin-Ledet, Sandra Martin-Wiltz, and Rosetta Martin.

Although your light has dimed on this earth it will always burn bright in our hearts.
Thank you for all you've done and given so generously. Rest easy Mother. You did good.
