Memorial service for Mrs. Mary Ella Moten, 73 of Killeen, TX will be held Wednesday, December 8, 2021, 12:00 p.m. at Chisolm's Family Funeral Home in Killeen, TX. A private family interment will be held at a later date.

Mrs. Moten passed away November 28, 2021, in Temple, TX. She was born November 26, 1948, in Prescott, AR.

Mary Ella Moten was born in Prescott, Arkansas to Louis and Galvester Butler. She attended McRae School for a while then moved to Killeen, Texas and worked at Mother Goose Daycare for 10 years. Afterwards she went to school to begin her own daycare in which she ran for 21 years. She retired from daycare services and worked for Killeen ISD as a bus monitor up until her departure.

She was preceded by her father (Louis Butler), her mother (Galvester Butler), her son (David Butler), and three sisters (Martha Butler, Maxine Taylor, and Carolyn Royston).

She left to cherish her memory Stephen Moten (Husband of 44 years), Kenton Davis (son), Stephen Butler (son), Angela Hamilton (daughter), Paulette Baker (daughter), Traci Marshall (daughter), Akashi Butler (daughter), Robert Williamson (brother), Ralph Butler (brother), Georgie Blalock (sister), Wanda Perkin (sister), Marsha Yonsas (sister), Bobbie Stringer (sister), Loretta Anderson (sister), Dora Gude (sister), and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. She has 20 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren.

She was very loved, changed many lives and will be missed dearly.
