Funeral services for Mr. Marvin Fleming III, 46 of Killeen, TX will be held Friday, January 29, 2021, 1:00 p.m. at Chisolm's Family Funeral Home in Killeen, TX. Burial will follow the service at the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen, TX.

Visitation will be held two hours prior to the service (11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.) at the funeral home.

Marvin Fleming, III, the son of Marvin, Jr., and Diane Fleming was born on November 22, 1974 in Marion, South Carolina. Marvin departed this life and was called to eternal rest on Friday, January 15, 2021.

Marvin joined St. John Missionary Baptist church at an early age. He graduated from Latta High School, in Latta, South Carolina in 1993; where he was recognized with many awards for his outstanding skills in football, basketball, and track/field.  Upon completion of high school, he accepted a full football scholarship to Livingstone College, located in Salisbury, North Carolina. He later transferred to Benedict College in Columbia, South Carolina on scholarship to continue his football career. Years later, he joined the United States Army, in which he served for over seven years and 10 months. During Marvin's military career he worked at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland as a Medical Laboratory Technician until he was transferred to Fort Hood in Killeen, Texas to work in Darnell Medical Center. After his separation from the United States Army, Marvin was hired to be apart of the Pathology and Laboratory team at Baylor Scott and White Hospital, where he continued his career as a Medical Lab Technician in the chemistry department.

Marvin was always full of life and had a spirit that will stay forever young. He picked up hobbies such as riding motorcycles (he would call it his Wind Therapy), rebuilding engines for trikes and motorcycles, gardening, and volunteer-coaching for youth football and basketball teams.

Marvin leaves to cherish his fond and loving memories:  his parents: Marvin and Diane; his queen: Vartemia; two sons: Malik and Makhi; one daughter: Malaya; his brother: Dedric; his sister: Yolanda; two nephews: Razhaan and Zadden; one niece: Kensley; one great-nephew Amir; one great uncle: Isaiah Collington (Edith); great aunt: Barbara Collington, and a host of uncles, aunts, cousins, friends, and extended family.
