Marvin Jackson Burns Jr. of Atlanta, Ga, passed away unexpectedly on April 15, 2023, in Killeen, Tx, surrounded by his loving wife, Tomekia Burns. He was 66 years old. His family is deeply saddened by his sudden death.

He was born April 16, 1956, to parents Dorothy Olivia Dodson and Marvin J. Burns Sr., in Atlanta, GA. Marvin was a fun-spirited soul who took on many passions. One of which included playing the bass guitar. He had an incredible artistic talent for singing. He found comfort and peace in capturing the ocean and horseback riding. One of his favorite places was Sea Lion Cave in Washington St.

Marvin was a beautiful person inside and out. His smile was so stunning it would light up the whole room. He cared so deeply for the people around him. He was so kind and passionate. He made an impact on many lives. He will be forever missed until we meet again, my sweet baby.

Left to cherish his memories: his loving wife of (17 years), Tomekia Roschelle Burns of Atlanta, Ga; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Peggy and Barkley Howard; his brothers, John and Anthony (Ampo); his sister, Dottie Burns; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his two sons, both name Carlos Burns and his newborn daughter, named Iyanna Burns.
