Funeral services for Mrs. Martha Elizabeth Fisher 62, of Killeen, Texas will be held on Tuesday, February 25, 2025, 12:00 p.m. at Chisolm's Family Funeral Home in Killeen, Texas. Burial will follow the service at Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery.
Visitation will be held on Monday, February 24, 2025, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Martha "Dee Dee" Elizabeth Yedlosky Fisher, born on April 8, 1962, in Springfield, Massachusetts passed away peacefully at her home in Killeen, Texas on February 2, 2025. She was the beloved daughter of Joseph and Therese Yedlosky.
Dee Dee is survived by her loving husband David Fisher, her daughter Katherine "Katie" Nichole Wyatt Manning, and her son Joseph Andrew Wyatt. She is also leaves behind her loving parents Joseph and Therese Yedlosky. Along with her parents, she is survived by her brothers Joseph and Richard Yadlosky. Dee Dee was also blessed with grandchildren Hunter, Logan and Tori Manning.
As the daughter of an Air Force father, Dee Dee traveled to many places and was able to experience many different cultures and adapt to many new places finally settling in Dayton, Ohio. She graduated from Stebbins High School in 1982.
Dee Dee married the love of her life David Fisher on June 22, 1991, and moved to Texas with her two children. She worked at Sallie Mae from 1991-1996 processing student loans. She moved on to work at the 1st Cavalry Association and loved that very much from 1996 to 2010. She loved working with the Vietnam Veterans, annual reunion and coordinating the yearly calendar.
Dee Dee was a very outgoing and independent person, generous and giving with a heart of gold. She always put the needs of others before her own. She was a great loving mother and wife. She did not want to receive help but would always want to help others.
Dee Dee was passionate about reading books, the bible and enjoyed looking at the stars. She loved the many dogs she had through the years and especially her pit bull, Hydro. She was fond of watching and feeding the birds and nature in general.
