Funeral service for Mrs. Martha Campfield 81 of Georgetown, TX will be held Friday, March 8, 2024, 11:00 a.m. at the Christian House of Prayer in Copperas Cove TX. Burial will follow the service at the Killeen City Cemetery in Killeen, TX. Viewing will be held two hours prior to the service (9:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m.) at the church.

A visitation will be held Thursday, March 7, 2024, (7:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m.) at the Deliverance Temple Worship Center COGIC in Austin, TX.

"The days of our years are threescore years and ten; and if by reason of strength they be fourscore years yet is their strength labour and sorrow; for it is soon cut off, and we fly away" Psalms 90:10. Not only did God bless Martha Campfield with her "threescore" but God saw fit to extend her life beyond the '70 years.' Thus at 81, on February 27, 2024, our Lord in His infinite wisdom, declared that "MawMaw" to many and "Sis. Campfield" to others had more than satisfied His promise.

It was on May 23, 1942, that Martha Thomas became the first daughter to the union of the late Austin and Martha Thomas in New Orleans, LA.  She attended George Washington Carver High School in New Orleans, LA.  Sis Campfield married the late Ralph Bernard, Sr.; that union produced six children (Ralph, Jr., Tyrone, Priscilla, Gary, Aaron and Iron).  She later married the late James Campfield.

In her early 20's , she dedicated her life to Christ at Macedonia Church of God in Christ in New Orleans, LA. Later moving to Baton Rouge, LA, she faithfully served at Richardson Chapel COGIC in various ministries and within her local community. In 1999,  Sis. Campfield relocated to Round Rock, TX and joined All Nations Christian Center COGIC, where she obtained her Missionary's license under the leadership of the late Pastor, W.N. Little. She also held the title of Church Mother. She participated in the Prison and Women's Ministries, District Mother's Board as well as District and State auxiliaries.

She was also blessed to be a noble business owner in Round Rock, TX.  Co-owner of CCOP (Christian Cleaners on Patrol), where she emulated how cleanliness of your surroundings could improve cleansing your heart in preparation for Jesus. She was a soldier of the most high everywhere she went.

Martha was preceded in death by her parents; Austin and Martha Thomas, siblings; Austin Jr, Joseph, Roosevelt, Walter and Willie Thomas, Delores Matthews, Julia, Audrey and Diane Thomas, husband; James Campfield, granddaughter; Irissa Bunch and Greatgranddaughter; Olivia Bunch. She leaves to cherish her memories, her 6- Children, Ralph Bernard, Tyrone Bernard (Arline), Priscilla Bunch (Luther), Gary Bernard (Denise), Aaron Bernard and Iron Campfield.; 4- additional daughters- in-law; 25- Grandchildren; 33Great-Grandchildren, 3-Great Great Grandchildren, 1- Goddaughter and a host of family and dear friends.
