Margie Hodges was born in Chicago, Illinois on January 14, 1934. She passed away November 23, 2022, in Killeen, TX. She was the fifth of eleven born to John and Luanne Hodges. Margie loved her family above everything and was loved by everyone who came into contact with her. She would do whatever she could to make sure that everyone had whatever they needed. Margie enjoyed going fishing and to garage sales; she also enjoyed to dance, blues music and watching westerns, but most of all she enjoyed doing those things with her family. Margie worked as a care giver as a young adult and continued to nurture people the rest of her life. In order to keep the family together, granny selflessly put her plans on hold, and although finances were low traveled to California from Illinois by bus to pick up her three grandchildren whose mother had recently became ill. She taught us about the importance of family and other life lessons such as hard work and how to stand up for ourselves. When it came to forgiveness granny was a sage, she knew how to forgive even when no one else would. At every stage Margie was the life of the party. Her infectious smile and her sense of fashion made everyone want to get to know her.
