Funeral services for Ms. Lena Blanche Rountree, 79 of Jarrell, TX will be held on Thursday, April 2, 2026, 11:00 a.m. at the Christian House of Prayer Campus, Copperas Cove, TX.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 1, 2026, 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m., at Chisolm's Family Funeral Home in Killeen, TX.

Lena Rountree (without the D) was born to Andrew Mack Roundtree and Hallie Flakes on October 7, 1946. She was the twelfth child out of thirteen.

Momma Lena, affectionately known as "Gram," a woman of extraordinary grace, quiet strength, and unwavering faith, went home to be with the Lord on March 21, 2026. Lena lived a full life marked by love—love for God, love for her family, and love for every soul she encountered. Her presence was gentle but powerful, and her kindness left an imprint on everyone blessed enough to know her.

For many years, Lena served faithfully as a Deaconess and Elder at the Christian House of Prayer in Killeen and Copperas Cove, Texas. She was a graduate of the Sonship School of the First Born, a volunteer in the This and That Store, The Refuge Corporation, Prayer Practitioner and Healing Clinic, and active in both the WWP and Singles Ministries. She was known for her steadfast, dependable spirit, her compassionate heart, and her passion to serve family, friends and her community at large with humility, unspeakable joy and honor. It was all about her Lord and Savior. Whether she was praying with someone in need, supporting church families/functions, or simply offering a warm smile that made a heavy day lighter, Lena embodied the heart and mind of Christ. She walked by faith as a lamb and spoke boldly as a lion, sharing the agape love of Christ and the gospel with every and anyone blessed by her presence.

Her first love was God, but Lena's greatest joy was her family. She poured herself into them—teaching, guiding, praying, and loving with a depth that will echo for generations. Her home was a place of comfort, laughter, and wisdom. Her words carried weight, her hugs delivered healing, and her love carried everyone through life's trials, tribulations, challenges, joys, and major accomplishments.

She leaves behind a beautiful and ever-growing legacy through her family:

Each of them carries a piece of her—her strength, her humor, her faith, and her tenderness. Lena loved her family fiercely, prayed for them faithfully, fervently, and continually without ceasing, and celebrated them joyfully.

Though her physical presence will be deeply missed, her spirit remains woven into the lives she shaped. Her legacy is one of faith, service, and unconditional love—a legacy that will continue to shine through her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; sister, Sara; and brother, Aaron.
