Funeral service for Mr. Lawrence Lloyd Jones 84 of Killeen, TX will be held Saturday, December 9, 2023, 11:00 a.m. at Chisolm's Family Funeral Home in Killeen, TX. A private family interment will be held at a later date.

Viewing will be held two hours prior to the service (9:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m.) at the funeral home.

Lawrence Lloyd Jones "Sonny Boy", son of the late Lloyd and Corethia Jones, was born October 18, 1939, in Harmans Maryland. On Tuesday, November 14, 2023, God sent an angel to gently take him away from labor to his reward.

Lawrence was educated in the public schools of Anne Arundel County. He joined Metropolitan Methodist Church at an early are.

He was united in marriage to Jean Anne Mints in March 28, 1964 for over 59 years/ He worked for the state department of forest and parks for over 40 years.

Lawrence enjoyed hunting, fishing, and bowling in his free time. He also enjoyed coaching his three kids in baseball, softball, and football.

Lawrence was affectionately called Sonny Boy by his friends and family. He was lovingly called pappy and granddad by his grandchildren. Sonny Boy was a devoted father, grandfather, and great grandfather.

He leaves in mourning his devoted wife Jean Anne Jones; two sons, Lawrence Anthony Jones, and Lionel Jones; one daughter, Lynette Jones; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two sisters, Denise Boyer and Shirley Strarliper; and one brother-in-law.
