Funeral services for Mr. Kevin Roderick Gordon II 38, of Killeen, Texas will be held Saturday, October 15, 2022, 5:00 p.m. at Chisolm's Family Funeral Home in Killeen, Texas. Burial will follow the service at the Garden of Memories Cemetery in Killeen, TX.

Mr. Gordon passed away October 2, 2022, in Killeen, Texas.

Kevin Roderick Gordon II (KG) was born on July 23, 1984, to Kevin Roderick Gordon and Dr. Rhonda Denise Taylor in Killeen, Texas.  In 1994 at the age of 10, Kevin became a member of the Christian House of Prayer. He attended children's church under the mentorship of the late Pastor Tedder who was the children's church leader at that time. At the age of 12, Kevin faithfully served on the parking lot ministry. Kevin graduated from Sonship School of the Firstborn in 2017.  Through the Safe Harbor Program, the late Elder Keys did a one-on-one individual personal mentorship with Kevin from 2011-2015

In spite of Kevin's mental challenges, he managed by the grace of God to receive his high school diploma from Midway High School in 2002. He attended the Culinary Arts program at TSTC in 2003 and the MCC Carpenter's Program in 2004. He received the President's Volunteer Service Award and letter from our former President Barack Obama in 2013 for receiving the most community service hours at the Killeen Food Bank.

Kevin always wanted to invest money in stock in hopes of one day being rich. He wanted his own recording studio and record label to do music with his older brother. Kevin loved music and loved to freestyle. He was always friendly to everyone he met. He would always welcome people into his home. Kevin had genuine love for everyone he knew.

He leaves to cherish his loving memory, his loving Permanent Court Order Legal Guardian, Legal Advocate, Friend and Mother, Dr. Rhonda Taylor, his fathers, Kevin Roderick Gordon and Donald Lee Rankins; his brother, Theodore Porter, uncle Nathaniel Porter Jr., uncle\cousin Richard Standifer, and Mark "Twain" Sadler; nieces Emmanuela & Itailee Porter, nephew Jadon Porter; special family member/ cousin Patricia Walton, and a host of relatives and friends.
