Graveside service for Mr. Kenneth Edward Rodgers, 65 of Copperas Cove, TX will be held Saturday, October 28, 2023, 12:00 p.m. at the Copperas Cove City Cemetery in Copperas Cove, TX.

Kenneth Edward Rodgers known affectionally as "Kenny" passed away on October 21, 2023, in Killeen Texas. Kenny was born on January 19, 1958, in Bryan, Texas, son of John D. Rodgers and Estella M. Rodgers.

Kenny graduated from Merced High School in 1976. Kenny was a standout high school football player.

In 1980, Kenny married Phyllis Rochelle Slaton and welcomed to that unit a daughter, Chanell Rodgers.

Kenny acknowledged Jesus Christ as his personal Savior and was baptized at the People's Missionary Baptist Church in Bakersfield California.

Kenny is survived by his mother, Estella Rodgers White of Copperas Cove, Texas; daughter, Chanell Gomez of Converse Texas; one adopted daughter, Janel Clayton, (Dori) of Bakersfield, California; one brother, John D, Rodgers, (Gwendolyn) of San Pablo, California; one granddaughter, Zaya Gomez of Converse, Texas; two nephews, John D. Rodgers III (Michelle) of San Pablo, California, and Samuel Albert, Rodgers of Stockton, California.

Because he never met a stranger, he will be missed by countless friends.
