Mrs. Muns passed away September 20, 2023, in Temple, TX.

First known as Katherine "Lady" Jones, she was born June 23, 1964, in Bessemer, Alabama, and loved by her parents, Eugene Jones and Viola Jones. Lady had five older siblings, Doris Ann Ballard, Virgie Lee McCain, Gloria Dumas, Robert Jones, and Eugene Jones, Jr. Katherine was loved by her community, and by the age of twenty, she married her first love, Fredrick A. Smith and became Katherine Smith. The pair went on to have four beautiful children, La'Shanta Smith, Jarrett Smith, Isaiah Smith, and Velyncia Smith. Katherine also had two grandchildren, Dawn Smith and Samuel Smith.

Katherine Smith and Fredrick Smith were called to minister in 1992 at Fort Riley, Kansas. While in Kansas, Lady got her Bachelors of Arts degree at Kansas State University in education under early childhood development and a certificate for minoring in Psychology. While attending college, Katherine was the First Lady of the church where her and Pastor Fredrick started in Kansas. She was a childcare center owner, wife, and mother.

After years in Kansas (where the pair saved many lost souls), the Smith family moved to Temple, Texas, where Lady worked in medical records at Scott and White Hospital and was an early childhood teacher where every kid and adult who encountered Katherine were changed forever by her spirit and personality. Katherine lived a life of selflessness and servitude not just with the Lord but with everyone she met. Katherine assisted with mentally ill individuals for over fifteen years and was an area supervisor of the centers.

Fredrick and Katherine were married for twenty-five years until Fredrick returned to the Lord in 2012. Even with the death of her first love, Lady continued the ministry from Fredrick and saved lost souls and preached the gospel around the Temple, Killeen, Waco, Salado, and Austin area. In 2018, Lady remarried to Daniel Muns, and the two ministered around the Central Texas Area.

Katherine had a lifelong legacy of kindness, compassion, wisdom, encouragement, and most important of all, faith in Christ. Katherine had a loving and full-of-life spirit, she truly believed love was stronger than hate and made sure her family, friends, and community felt loved just as God loved us. With every chance, Katherine would mention the Lord to others to let them know they are not alone in the world as there is a man (God) who is a way maker and forgiver.

Although it may seem like her mission is over, it is not by a long shot. The family strives to spread the Gospel and reach lost souls as much as possible by the power of God and the Holy Spirit. Katherine lived a life full of prosperity, anointing, and blessing. The lives touched by Katherine Smith will forever be touched, and she will be dearly missed by her family and her beloved community.
