Funeral services for Mrs. Juanita Buntyn 79, of Killeen, Texas will be held on Friday, January 13, 2023, 11:00 a.m., at Christian House of Prayer in Copperas Cove, Texas. Inurnment will be held on Wednesday, January 18, 2023, 11:00 a.m. at Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen, Texas.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 12, 2023, 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. at Chisolm's Family Funeral Home in Killeen, Texas.

Juanita Buntyn was born on June 22, 1943, in Pulaski, IL to Edward Jeter and Grace Jeter. Juanita departed this life and entered her heavenly home on December 24, 2022, in Harker Heights, Texas.

Juanita graduated from Centralia High School, in Centralia, IL.

On June 22, 1975, Juanita (Jeter) married William H. Buntyn at Scott AFB, IL. They traveled to various places throughout her husband's military career and shared many fond memories. Juanita also worked at the Officer's Club as the head cashier and caterer.

They later moved from Scott AFB, IL to San Antonio, Texas. They commuted from San Antonio, Texas to Copperas Cove, Texas for 4 years to attend services at the Christian House of Prayer, under the pastorship of Bishop Nathaniel and Valerie Ivy Holcomb. In 1992 they became members of the Christian House of Prayer. Juanita was an active member and ministered on the Banner Ministry. She was also known for starting the "Love Train" during some services.

Juanita lived life to the fullness. She was an avid Dallas Cowboy fan and would be seen in her Dallas Cowboy attire in church and other places. Juanita also enjoyed crafts. She opened her own business called "Love Expression".   She prepared baskets and other sorts of crafts for holidays and special occasions.

Juanita accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior. She is now in the presence of the Lord where there is the fullness of joy. She will truly be missed by all who knew her.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband of 47 years, Dr. William H. Buntyn of Killeen, Texas; Sons: Rolland C. Lawson and his wife Agnes of Henderson, NV and Thomas J. Lawson and his wife Carol of Indiana; daughter, Suwanna Buntyn of Harker Heights, TX; grandchildren, Tommy Lawson Jr., Rebecca Lawson, Danyell Nicole Homoki, Rolanda Lawson, Bianka Lawson and Jasmine Warren; several great grandchildren; one sister, Mildred Montgomery; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins other relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Grace Jeter, brothers: Edward Jeter, Herman Jeter, George Jeter, Eddie Jeter; and three sisters, Lydia, Bernice, Hazel and Mattie.
