Graveside service for Ms. Joslyn Marie Jones, 69 of Killeen, TX will be held Friday, May 21, 2021, 1:00 p.m. at the Killeen City Cemetery in Killeen, TX.

Joslyn Marie Jones (Lewis), affectionately known as Lady J, 69, of Killeen, TX, passed away on May 11, 2021 at Killeen Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.

Joslyn Marie Lewis was born in Kansas City , Missouri on July 12, 1951 to Charles Henry Lewis and Shirley Dean Phillips.

Joslyn was married to William H Jones on November 14, 1970 in Jackson County, Missouri. They welcomed their only child, son Kinta Lamonte, on September 28, 1978. They were married 22 years.

She enjoyed many things in life but some of her favorites were cooking, dancing, and fashion. A longtime member of the women's auxiliary at the Benjamin O. Davis VFW Post 9191 in Killeen, as well as a participant of the Stepp-Up Steppers & Terrell Simmons Swing Dancers. Also, for many years she was an active parishioner of Simmonsville Missionary Baptist Church, and later New Jerusalem IBC.

Preceded in death by her father, mother, and grandparents, Ms. Jones is survived by; her son Kinta L Jones (wife Rechelle) of Killeen TX, her two granddaughters Armani Marie and Deanndra Kalice, her brother William Harden and sister Pam Hadley, her nieces and nephews, and many other family and friends.

The family of Lady J wishes to give special mention to Ms. Sonya Gains and the Benjamin O. Davis VFW Post 9191 of Killeen. Thank you for the outpouring of love and support during this difficult time.
