Funeral service for Ms. Josephine Wooten, 90 of Killeen, TX will be held Monday, June 6, 2022, 1:00 p.m. at Agape Church of God in Christ in Killeen, Texas. Burial will follow the service at the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen, Texas.

Viewing will be held two hours prior to the service (11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.) at the church.

Ms. Wooten passed away May 30, 2022, in Harker Heights, TX.

Josephine Wooten was born on December 1, 1931, to parents Mattie Denmon and Ed Brown in Smithville, TX. She grew up in Bartlett, TX
where she received her primary and formal education at Booker T. Washington High School formerly known as Bartlett Colored High
School. Once of age, she moved to Artesia, NM where she attended Bethel Baptist Church and worked for a multi-million-dollar family.

Josephine's hobbies included cooking, singing, and frequenting lavish horse racing events both locally and across state lines. Even as far as Los. Angeles where her wealthy employer would introduce her to her husband, Otis Wooten.

There in California they both faithfully served the T.B.N. ministry for four years and were later compelled to transition into the street
ministry. Mrs. Wooten's divine calling to the least of these inspired her to create "Bread for the Body Bread for the Soul"; ministry feeding and clothing the least of these for over 35 years.

They ultimately transitioned to Killeen, Texas where she would become a faithful member of Agape Church of God in Christ under
the leadership of Superintendent Michael Johnson. Mother Wooten was an avid prayer warrior and advocate for the homeless.

Left to cherish her memories: sisters, Verna Polk of Killeen, TX, Mary Jones of Dallas, TX, Marie McKnight of Albuquerque, NM,
Janice of Arizona, Eddie Mae of California; Edna of Fort Worth, TX, and Bertha of Fort Worth, TX; and a host of nieces, nephews, other
family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Otis Wooten; parents, Mattie and Ed Brown; and brothers, Louis E. Brown and Robert Langston.
