Memorial service for Mr. Johnny Mac Sanders III, 53 of Killeen, TX will be held Friday, February 10, 2023, 11:00 a.m. at Chisolm's Family Funeral Home in Killeen, TX. Inurnment will be held Monday, February 13, 2023, 11:00 a.m. at the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen, TX.
Mr. Sanders passed away January 31, 2023, in Georgia.
Johnny Mac Sanders III was born October 9 th , 1969, in Buffalo New York to Queen Gordy and Johnnie Mack Sanders Jr.
Johnny, who was also known as John John or John for short, started his education in New Jersey and completed it in Detroit, Michigan where he graduated from Denby High School. While attending Denby, he participated in ROTC, which motivated him to join the United States Army in October of 1990; where he was a sharpshooter and a Marksman. Johnny was a Veteran of The Gulf War.
Outside of his desire for the Army, Johnny had a strong passion for cars. Additionally, he was always looking for a way to fulfill his dream to become a self-made millionaire. Although not a millionaire, he never stopped trying. He's probably in Heaven right now working on his next project or record deal.
In 1998, Johnny me Laquanna in Lawton, OK. After realizing she was the sparkle of his eyes, they married in January 2006. He leaves to cherish his memories, his beautiful wife of 17 years, Laquanna; his mother, Queen E. Gordy of Fayetteville, Georgia; father, Johnnie M. Sanders Jr. of Roseville, Michigan; five loving daughters, Sierra, Jone, Imani, Mykelle, and Sharielle; two grandchildren, Kamryn and Josiah; four brothers, Jermaine, Michael Brown, Richard Wagstaff and Ronald Rolack; father-in-law, Henry Williams; grandmother, Estelle Brooks; one auntie, and one uncle. His only son Jayveon proceeded his in death. Johnny also leaves to cherish him a host of other relatives and friends.
