Joanne moved to Killeen in 2002 to assist her youngest daughter and assist her in childcare needs. Joanne was a previous member of Bountiful Blessings Full Gospel Ministry for 6 years, she then converted to House of Faith, Prayer, Praise and Worship Ministries receiving her spiritual meals under the directions of Bishop Mylanda Smallwood until receiving her wings to the upper room. Joanne also leaves a host of daughters and sons she inherited through her childcare business for over 15 of her 25 years here in the Killeen area. Nana had a love of mothering babies, and she cared for them up until a year before her departure. The babies she cared for over the years were more than a job, Mom needed the babies just as much as the babies needed her, she would say that they kept her young.
