Funeral service for Mrs. Janice Marie Bell-Johnson, 84 of Killeen, TX will be held Thursday, May 27, 2021, 11:00 a.m. at Chisolm's Family Funeral Home in Killeen, TX. Burial will follow the service at the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen, TX.

Viewing will be held two hours prior to the service (9:00 a.m. -11:00 a.m.) at the funeral home.

Mrs. Bell-Johnson passed away May 17, 2021 in Killeen, TX.

Janice Marie Bell Johnson was born to her parents SSG. Shelton & Muriel Bell on January 30, 1937 in Chicago, IL. She was the oldest of her sister Latonya. She received Jesus Christ at a tender age of 8 and rededicated her life as a young woman and never looked back.

As a military child she lived in various locations. Some of her schools days were spent in East St. Louis then San Francisco, California.
Janice received her nursing training as a practical nurse at St. Sinai Hospital in Chicago, IL For many years she did private duty nursing. Janice always had a genuine care and concern for people. She taught many people along life's path. It fell on a day that she went to Killeen, TX to visit her parents that she was invited to attend a revival service in Harker Heights, TX and met Jesse Lee Johnson. Jesse became the love of her life after a short courtship over time. They married May 2, 1972 and served in the ministry together. He remained faithful to the call until his passing January 1, 2005. Janice never birth any children of her own however she poured her life into the lives of her precious step-children.

She always esteemed God in all she did by giving and serving her family and community. Janice was a woman with uncompromising faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. Her strength of service as a Missionary and Hospitality Server was used while supporting the troops and families during the Vietnam era with the Red Cross Organization. Janice was the church Mother to True Light House of Prayer. She will dearly be missed among the congregation. It can be said of her "I fought a good fight I have finished my course, I have kept the faith (2:Tim.2:4-8).

Grand children: Melissa West, Jesse West, John West, Sherman West, Layvette Howard. 3 Great Grand children and other relatives.
