Memorial service for Mrs. Jamell Latrice Brandon-Davis 44 of Killeen, TX will be held Saturday, January 6, 2024, 3:00 p.m. at the True Vine New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church in Minneapolis, MN. Interment will be held at a later date.
Mrs. Davis passed away December 29, 2023, in Temple, TX. She was born September 22, 1979, in Minneapolis, MN to Dora J. Brandon (Lane) and Lawrence R. Walker. She spent the early part of her life living with her grandparents, Dorothy (TDot) and Oneal Brandon in Bastrop, LA and relocated with her mom to Minnesota in 1985.
At a young age Jamell joined True Vine Missionary Baptist Church under Rev. Jessie Griffin. Jamell worked with the Youth Usher, Sunday School, and Choir.
Jamell graduated from Washburn High School in 1997. Jamell would earn her associate degree in medical billing and coding in 2006, her bachelor's degree in health care management in 2012 and Graduate Certificate in Medical Billing and Coding earning National Honor Society Honors in 2021.
Jamell held a host of jobs beginning at McDonalds at the age of 14 and concluded with Centene Medical.
Jamell would bless this world with her first son Xavier Oneal Brandon in 2001. In August of 2005 she married her husband Jeremiah Anthony Davis and gave birth to Amari Lavell-Anthony in 2007 and Nykira Laray Davis in 2009.
While married to Jeremiah, Jamell would live in multiple states including Tennessee, Alaska, Missouri and finally settling in Texas.
She is preceded in death by her mother in-law Gwendolyn Davis, Grandparents Dorothy and Oneal Brandon, father Lawrence Walker, God Mother Lucille T. Griffin and nephew Isaiah Coleman,
Jamell's leaves to cherish her memories: Loving husband Jeremiah Davis, Son's Xavier Brandon, Amari Davis and Daughter Nykira Davis; her Mom Dora and Dad James Lane; Brothers: Carlos (Wife Yosette) Brandon, Brandon (Significant other Asha Long) Lane, James (Wife Mariah) Lane of (Minneapolis, MN) and Sister Shemika Washington (Cleveland, MS); and a host of half brothers and sisters; Nieces: Carlisha Brandon, and Nevaeh Hunter, Nephews: Joseph Brandon, Braylon and Emory Lane. Great Niece: Briana Brandon. Adopted Nephews Carlos and Demontre Brandon and a host of aunties and uncles, cousins and friends.
