Funeral service for Mrs. Ivy Lee Jefferson, 74 of Killeen, TX will be held Saturday, November 13, 2021, 11:00 a.m. at Chisolm's Family Funeral Home in Killeen, TX. A private family interment will be held at a later date.

Viewing will be held two hours prior to the service (9:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m.) at the funeral home.

The Seed of one's Life is a celebration of their unique assignment spanning the course of many Seasons directed by the pace of Time.

The Celebration of their Life is not defined by the time they spent on earth, but in the fulfillment of God's Purpose established for their life.

The Celebration of Ivy Lee Jefferson's Life is defined by the words of Jesus who affirms her belief in Him was a reflection of her hope that her passing from the shores of this earthly realm would not be a passing in death, but a passing from death to Eternal Life.

She was born to the parental stewardship of Helen Davis and Emmitt Spencer June 28, 1947, in New Orleans, Louisiana. She settled her eternal destiny during the tender years of her youth by receiving Jesus Christ as her personal Savior. Under His Lordship she navigated the obstacle course of her earthly journey consulting and regarding the Wisdom and Counsel of His Word as essential for living.

She entered the second highest union next to her relational union with God when she and Seymour Raymond were United in holy matrimony February 21, 2004.

She believed in the power of education as a tool useful for enhancing her God-given skills as a businesswoman. In 2009, she earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Phoenix.  The fruit of her skills enhanced by her education would not only prove useful and productive but, prosperous during her tenure as an invaluable asset to the American National Insurance Company as an Agent.

Living Life to the fullest was the thematic chorus of her convictions pursued daily.

She enjoyed traveling, cooking, watching sports, and spending time with her grandchildren. She had a relentless passion for reading and bowling.

Her intellectual appetite for learning was her inspiration for reading. Her competitive ambitions to showcase the fruit of her highest potential made her an avid bowler, and by the estimations of some, an unofficial pro. She could not be easily defeated.

She also loved to play cards, capable of mastering all games to include chess. This is yet another testament to her intellectual genius at negotiating the mental obstacle course of conquering her opponents with skill and strategy.

On October 30, 2021, Ivy traveled her last mile of this earthly journey to reach her eternal destination in the Presence of the Lord.

Among those who preceded her deliverance from this earthly realm is her father Emmitt Spencer, her stepfather James Davis, grandparents her son Se'an Raymond, her brother-in-law, Alvin Theriot, and her Sister-in-Law Barbara Raymond.

Among those who remain to celebrate her earthly tenure and eternal triumph until our reunion with her in the Presence of the Lord is besides her devoted husband, Seymour Raymond of Killeen, Tx; Daughters:  Tara Jefferson, and Tonya

Ranson (Cameron) both of Killeen, TX, Sentrell Hawkins of Charlotte, NC, Chantel Raymond, and Tiara Cole (Joseph) both of Harvey, LA; Sons: Troy Jefferson of Kansas City, MO, Dexter Raymond of Baton Rouge, LA, Brian Raymond, and Marlin Raymond, both of Harvey, LA;  Mother: Helen Davis of Kansas City, Mo; Brothers: Norman Davis (Marcia) of Virginia, Glen Davis, Marvin Davis, and Jerome Davis (Kimberly) all of Kansas City, MO, and Everett Spencer (Connie) of New Orleans, LA; Sisters, Altamease Theriot (Alvin) and Gwen Sparks, both of New Orleans, LA, Stephanie Garrett (Ronnie), and Theresa Davis of Kansa City, MO; her uncle, Benjamin Badger of New Orleans, LA; Aunt Ora Mae Bryant of Kansas City, MO; Brother's-in-law, Jimmie Raymond of New Orleans, LA, M.L. She also leaves behind 10 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
