Funeral service for Mr. Irving Alfred Singletary 77, of Hutto, Texas will be held on Tuesday, June 15, 2021, 1:00 p.m. at Chisolm's Family Funeral Home in Killeen, Texas. Viewing will be held two hours prior to the service (11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.).

Mr. Singletary passed away June 8, 2021, in Hutto, Texas. He was born on December 27, 1942, in Burlington, N.J.

Irving Alfred Singletary of Hutto, Texas, was born December 27, 1943 in Burlington, New Jersey to Betty Taylor Singletary and J.B. Howard.

Irving was employed at Public Services, (New Jersey) for many years before retiring in 1983. He also worked at J.R. Irwin Oil and Natural  Gas Co. (Bastrop, TX) from 2005 - 2016 as Head Cook, before retiring a second time.

Irving, aka, "Bunny" loved cooking; he not only cooked for his family/friends, but would also cater for others' parties. Thanksgiving was his favorite time of the year to cook and show off his skills. He was an avid Philadelphia Eagle fan and part-time Dallas Cowboy fan. He enjoyed music, attending jazz concerts with his wife, Verna and sister-in-law, Joe, gardening, traveling with his wife and kids. He loved wearing his suits, jewelry, watches, cologne, and hats. He was a doting husband, father, grand/great grandfather.

Irving was a member of Grace Christian Center.

Irving was preceded in death by his first wife and mother of his four children, Barbara Singletary; his mother, Betty Taylor Singletary; his fathers, J.B. Howard and Joseph Singletary; brothers, Dwight Watson; Joseph "Joe Joe" Singletary; His daughter, Chanet Ayala.

Irving leaves to cherish his memoires, his best friend and loving wife of twenty years, Verna Singletary. His brothers: Ronald Singletary; Robert Singletary. His children: Dea Singletary, Beth Singletary-Grant (Bernard), Lisa Singletary, Irving Singletary, Jr. (Tara), Wykeem "Shaun" Ayala (Dalila); Tomas Ayala (Debbie). Thirteen grandkids: (Keisha, Keith, Diamani, Andrea, Audrey, Irving III, Xavera, Simone, Anya, Aneas, Deneus, Elise, Diego, 10 great-grandkids; a host of loving nieces/nephews/cousins/ sister-in-laws: Belinda Hardy, Joe Freeman and Sophie Hendricks.
