Funeral service for Mrs. Helga Pressley, 74 of Harker Heights, TX will be held Thursday, April 10, 2025, 9:00 a.m. at Chisolm's Family Funeral Home in Killeen, TX. Burial will follow the service at the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen, TX.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service (8:00 a.m. - 9:00 a.m.) at the funeral Home.

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Helga Pressley, age 74, of Harker Heights, Texas, on March 29, 2025. Helga was born on May 31, 1950, in Fürth, Germany, to the late August Hofmann and Elfriede Hofmann.

Helga was educated at Haupschule in Zirndorf, Germany, where she developed a lifelong love for her culture and community. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, leaving behind a legacy of love, warmth, and cherished memories.

Helga was a proud military spouse, supporting her late husband, Darnell Pressley, throughout his career. She was also deeply passionate about her German heritage, often delighting family and friends with her delicious homemade German dishes. In her spare time, Helga loved playing bingo, a pastime that brought her joy and connection with those around her.

Helga was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Darnell Pressley, her brothers Herbert Hofmann, and her sister Elsbeth St. Cyr. She is survived by her son, Thomas Brunner, and daughter-in-law, Ophelia Brunner; her grandchildren, Tyrese Brunner, Torise Brunner, Sade Lugo, Anthony Lugo and her brother Klaus Hofmann; as well as six great-grandchildren who will always remember her fondly.

Her kindness, humor, and unwavering devotion to her loved ones will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
