A visitation for Mr. Harold Sostand Sr., 75, of Kempner, TX, will be held Monday, March 25, 2024, from 11:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. at Chisolm's Family Funeral Home in Killeen, TX. Burial with Military Honors will follow the visitation at Central Texas State Veteran Cemetery in Killeen, TX.
Harold Sostand, Sr., of Kempner, Texas entered his eternal resting place on Mach 9, 2024, at Baylor Scott White Hospital, in Temple, Texas with his wife Diana Sostand by his side.
Harold was a loving, kind, soft spoken husband, father, son, brother, uncle, grandfather and much more. Harold was born and raised in Beaumont, Texas, to Mary Walters Sostand & Bernard Sostand Sr, who is preceded in death. Harrold is also preceded in death by three brothers, Raymond Lee Sostand (Molly), Roland Carrol Sostand, Sr., and Donald Sostand, (Linda).
Harold married his childhood sweetheart in 1966, and graduated from Charlton Pollard High School in Beaumont, Texas in 1967.
Honoring his memories,
Harold leaves his spouse of 58 years of marriage, Diana Sostand and one son, Harold Sostand Jr., of Wales, England and three grandchildren, Darrell Sostand, California, Jasmine Sostand and Danielle Sostand, both of Wales, England. Also cherishing Harold Sostands memories is Bernard Sostand, Houston, Texas, Judy Sostand-Guillory, (Clifton), Beaumont, Texas, Clyde Sostand, (Nadine) of Florida and Clarence Sostand, (Jaquelyn) of Beaumont, Texas, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.
After 22 years of service, August 1968 thru March 1990, Harold settled down in Killeen, Texas, once retired from the US Army. Harold served in Vietnam, received overseas service ribbon, Republic of Vietnam Unit Citation.
