Viewing/Visitation for Mr. Gregory Martin Garrett, 58 of Killeen, TX will be held Friday, September 30, 2022, 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. at Chisolm's Family  Family Funeral Home in Killeen, TX. A private family interment will be held at a later date.

In lieu of traditional attire, Greg will be laid to rest in the Jersey of his favorite NFL team, the Chicago Bears.

Gregory M. Garrett died September 22, 2022, with his mother by his side. He was born April 6, 1964, in Detroit, MI. 

He graduated from Ellison High School, class of 1982, where he played football and ran track. 

After graduation, Greg worked for Killeen I.S.D.  where he enjoyed mentoring and coaching today's youth. 
After his time with Killeen I.S.D, Greg took a position as a maintenance Supervisor at Walmart where he was able to build
new friendships and service the community. 

His hobbies included reading autobiographies and studying the history of the Buffalo Soldiers. Greg had an extensive college t-shirt
collection that grew throughout the years. He was an avid Chicago Bears and Florida State Seminoles fan. He loved spending time with
his family, especially his mother with whom he made sure to have either lunch or breakfast with every week. 

He is survived by his loving mother, Barbara Garrett of Killeen, TX; brother and his spouse, Kevin and Danita Garrett; sister and her spouse, 
Alexis and Caprice Garrett; niece and her spouse, Liz and Ben Barber; nephew and his spouse, Brian and Valerie Garrett; nephew, Joshua Garrett;
niece, Melissa Garrett; niece, Emari Woods; several aunts, uncles, cousins, great nieces and a great nephew; and special friend, Melissa West. 

He was preceded in death by his father, Charles P. Garrett and his brother Charles "Chaz" Garrett.
