Funeral services for Mrs. Gloria D. Frazier 94, of Copperas Cove, Texas will be held on Tuesday, January 31, 2023, 1:30 p.m. at Park Chapel AME Church in Dothan, AL. Burial will follow the service at Memory Hill Cemetery, Dothan, AL.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, January 26, 2023, from 2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. at Chisolm's Family Funeral Home in Killeen, Texas.

Mrs. Frazier passed away January 22, 2023, in Copperas Cove, Texas.

Gloria D. Frazier was born on June 18, 1928, in Jersey City, New Jersey. She departed this life and entered her heavenly home on January 22, 2023, in Copperas Cove, Texas.

Gloria Dorothy Frazier was a woman of God who was a true reflection of God's love, patience, kindness, peace, and joy.

In 1945, Gloria graduated from Dothan Colored High School, where she was the Senior Class President. After high school graduation she attended Alabama State 
College where she majored in elementary education and pledged Alpha Kappa Alpha (AKA) Sorority; she was also a charter member of the Dothan Chapter of Kappa Phi 
Omega, AKA Sorority. After graduating from college, she embarked upon her over 35+ years of teaching career at East Highland Elementary and Cloverdale 
Elementary schools. She retired from teaching in 1986. 

Gloria faithfully served at Parks Chapel African Methodist Episcopal Church as a trustee, Sunday school teacher, missionary, and in the adult choir.  Her hobbies were traveling, bowling, walking in the mall (shopping), sewing, and bingo.  She was a part the Starscope Bowling League; a champion who knew how to roll those strikes with her special ball and bowling shoes.

Gloria moved to Copperas Cove, Texas in 2013 to reside with her daughter Damita Moore and family.  Although her health began to limit her ability to continue some of her hobbies, she participated in other activities that kept her fully engaged. She continued to attend church and serve the Lord every day of her life.   She enjoyed spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ to others and singing the good news. Her favorite songs were "The Lord's Prayer" and "To GOD be the Glory.

Gloria's uplifting spirit spread joy wherever she was and to whomever she met. God's shining beacon here on earth!

Left to cherish her memory are her daughter Damita Moore (Furman) and son, Jay Frazier (Wartissua); siblings, Mildred Thornton and Barbara Williams; grandchildren Desmond Graham (Genevieve), Crystal Okorafor (Ike), Amber Spraul (Tom), Valerie Zacharie, and Veronica Moore; great grandchildren, Prescott and Parker Okorafor; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.

She is preceded in death by her husband Willie James Frazier; son Derrick Frazier; parents, Clarence Brown and Keelie Brown Parker; siblings, Agnes Judson, Walter Parker, and William Parker.
