Mrs. Elece Joree Tucker, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother passed away on November 23, 2022. Mrs. Tucker was born June 14, 1923, in Groesbeck, Texas to Mr. and Mrs. Wille Mae Cook. Elece was preceded in death by her parents, sister, brother, and spouse, Mr. K.S. Tucker.

Mr. and Mrs. Tucker built a home filled with love and laughter. At the same time, they encourage each other in their academic and professional pursuits. Elece began her career in cosmetology, and after completing her training in Fort Worth, Texas, she owned and operated a hair salon in Groesbeck, Texas. This helped fund her further education. After graduating from Paul Quinn College with a B.S. Degree in Mathematics and Prairie View College with a Master's Degree in Mathematics, she worked endearingly for many years as an educator for Groesbeck ISD. Her contributions in service to her community are too numerous to summarize in short.

She is survived by her four daughters: Alice Morales (Sam) of Groesbeck, Texas, Sandra Brown of Harker Heights, Texas, Patricia Wilson of Plano, Texas and Dimple Ballou of Plano, Texas; five grandchildren: Rosalyn Lynette Barnes (James) of Killeen. Texas, Bryson Duncan Brown (Londra) of Pearland, Texas, Kimberly Joree Wilson of Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, Gail Nora Morales of Washington, DC, and Spencer Trounxa Ballou of Glendale, California; two great-grandchildren: Raven Elece Palmer (Kelvin) of Harker Heights, Texas, Briana Janae Barnes of Killeen, Texas; and two great-great grandchildren: Nailah Joree-Rose Palmer and Amira Lynette Palmer of Harker Heights, Texas; nieces, nephews, cousins, and many close friends.
