Mr. Keys passed away April 1, 2021 in Killeen, TX.
Elder Harold Keys, aka "Hanky", was born on May 14, 1950, to Harold Keys, Sr., and Geraldine Lee in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
He became a member of Christian House of Prayer in May 1999, where he faithfully served in the Prison and Jail Ministry. Elder Keys received his ministerial license on March 31, 2004. He served as an Elder with the Safe Harbor Program for Drug and Alcohol Addictions. He successfully completed the Faith-Based Counselor Training Institute as a Certified Restorative Therapist. He completed the hands-on program with the Texas Volunteer Chaplaincy Ministry. Elder Keys graduated from the Sonship School of the Firstborn in 2007.
Elder Keys always had a desire to bring hope and purpose for living through his strength and experience in Christ to troubled youth, as well as adults. His desire was to help them find their way in Christ, just as he did. Elder Keys filled all our lives with laughter and joy; he had a terrific sense of humor and was sure to put a smile on your face!
He leaves to cherish his memory: his loving wife, Renay Keys; his sons, Christopher Keys, Jarmin Keys, Isaiah Keys, and Aaron Perry (one son, Harold Aaron Keys, preceded him in death); his daughters, Traci Keys, Tanika Mumpfield, Tiffany Blount, and Renay Laudermilk; his brothers, Leland Logan, Gonzalez Logan, and Lannie Logan; his sisters, Tangela Logan, Patricia Keys-Thomas, Helen Keys-Russell, and Gerry Lynne Keys (one sister, Kathy Keys, preceded him in death); and a host of grandchildren, godchildren, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
