Rev. Edwin Perez Crespo went home to be with the Lord on November 2, 2024, at the age of 80.  He was the son of Maria Perez, born on April 22, 1944, in Lares, Puerto Rico.  His battle with serious medical issues in recent years showed his courage in facing life challenges with a smile.  Despite the pain, Edwin maintained his faith and stayed strong until the end.

Edwin is survived by his wife, Edith, his three daughters: Dorothy Diaz, Wendy L. Perez-Fogg (Joseph A. Fogg) and Joyce E. Lugo Beltre (Guillermo A. Lugo-Beltre).  He was a proud grandfather to his 11 grandchildren and his 15 great-grandchildren.  His cheerful attitude and bright smile will forever be missed.

Edwin worked as a planner buyer for a major computer corporation for 20 years.  He was the director of MIZPA Biblical Institute in Puerto Rico. He was a minister for forty years and founded churches in Moca, Puerto Rico; Isabela Puerto Rico; Patilla, Puerto Rico; Saint Petersburg, Florida; Kissimmee, Florida; Springfield, Massachusetts.  He ministered at a Major Correctional Facility, in Hartford, Connecticut and at an all-boys juvenile reform facility, in Kissimmee, Florida.

At 12 years old at a Sunday school, Edwin learned who God is; the creator of heaven and earth and he was part of that creation.  Hungry for more he accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior and never looked back.  Edwin was blessed with a beautiful voice, he praised and worship God with hymns and songs.  He loved music and learned to play the guitar and keyboard.  Edwin worshipped the Lord until the end.

Edwin foremost loved God and his family. He will always be remembered as a man of faith, strength and love for his family and everyone who was fortunate to meet him.
