Funeral service for Mr. Edward Earl Thomas, 86 of Harker Heights, TX will be held Wednesday, April 30, 2025, 6:30 p.m. at Agape Church of God In Christ in Killeen, TX. Viewing will be held one hour prior to the service (5:30 p.m. - 6:30 p.m.) at the church.

Edward Earl Thomas was born on May 21, 1938, in Charleston, Mississippi to the parents of L.C. and Rosie Thomas. Hepassed away April 18, 2025 in Harker Heights, TX.

Edward attended Allen-Carver High School and was a member of the graduating class of 1959.  During his high school years, he met and married his high school sweetheart, Estella (Love) Thomas on March 3, 1959, and they moved to Chicago, Illinois and to this union they were blessed with three children.

Edward E. Thomas (known as Ed) worked at Dobb's International Services Inc. located at Chicago O'Hare International Airport at the time as a supervisor and a Union Rep for the Chicago Truck Drivers, Helpers and Warehouse Workers Union from 1959 until his retirement in June of 2002.

Edward accepted Christ as his personal savior in the late seventies and served faithfully as a member and deacon at Rock of Ages Baptist Church of Maywood, Illinois. In June 2002, Edward and Estella Thomas moved to Harker Heights, Texas and continued to serve God faithfully as a member and deacon at Agape Church of God in Christ from 2012 until the Lord called him home on April 18, 2025.

Left to cherish his memory is daughter Eloise Thomas of Magnolia, Arkansas; brother Johnny Thomas of Charleston, Mississippi; four grandchildren; Ricka Thomas, Chrisyen N. Robinson, JaNay H. Cross, Malvin Cross, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Edward was a faithful man who loved God and family. He is preceded in death by his parents L.C. and Rosie Thomas, wife Estella (Love) Thomas, two children, Rickey Thomas and Edward Earl Thomas Jr., two sisters, Mary A. Thomas, Roberta Thomas, three brother C.W. Thomas, L.C. Thomas Jr. and O.C. Thomas.
