Funeral service for Mr. Edward Anderson 82, of Copperas Cove, TX will be held Saturday, October 18, 2025, 11:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church in Bartlett, TX. Burial with Military Honors will follow the service at the Bartlett City Cemetery in Bartlett, TX.

Viewing will be held one hour prior to the service (10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m.) at the church.

Mr. Anderson passed away September 19, 2025, in Copperas Cove, TX. He was born May 22, 1943, in Smithville, TX.

Edward Anderson was a Vietnam vet who served in the United States Army where he was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, two overseas bars, Marksmanship Badge, and the Vietnam Service Medal. He then went on to work and retire from the United States Postal Service. Edward was a loving devoted father and grandfather who loved spending time with friends
and family. He also loved to travel.

He is preceded in death by his sisters, Tommy Lee Brown, Clemmie Mathis, Nola Mathis, Mae West, Mary Helen Sanders and brothers; Augustus Anderson, Donald Anderson, Kirk Lee Scott, DJ Mayhorn, Henry Johnson and Virgle Mayhorn.

He is survived by his sister Joyice West, daughters, Vada Thomas, Sandra Jones, and Stephanie Jackson and his son James Hudson. He is also survived by ten grandkids, twenty great grandkids, and a host of other family members.
