Funeral service for Mrs. Edith Castro Martinez, 61 of Killeen, TX will be held Friday, November 8, 2024, 12:00 p.m. at Chisolm's Family Funeral Home in Killeen, TX. Viewing will be held two hours prior to the service (10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.) at the funeral home. Rosary will be held from 11:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. prior to the service.

Edith C. Martinez, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, who departed this life on October 27, 2024, at the age of 61. Edith was born on March 3, 1963, on the beautiful island of Guam, where she spent her formative years and built a legacy of love, warmth, and devotion to her family and community.

Edith's life was defined by her unwavering commitment to those she held dear. She was a loving and devoted wife to her husband, Michael G. Martinez, with whom she shared 37 years of marriage. Together, they created a home filled with laughter, love, and memories that will forever be cherished.

She was a proud mother to five biological children: Christine (Paul) Kaiser, Michael G. Martinez Jr., Tiarra (John) Tyquiengco, Jenniko (Darcy) Toves, and Joey (Janyca) Martinez. Edith's role as a mother was central to her life, and she poured her heart into raising her children with kindness, patience, and a sense of unwavering support.

In addition to her biological children, Edith raised two honorary sons Scott Lujan, Garret Quinata, and a daughter Cassandra Acosta she gained shortly before her departure, whom she loved as her own. These sons and daughter whom she embraced as part of her family, were cherished and held a special place in her heart.

Edith was also a proud grandmother to an extraordinary group of grandchildren who brought her immense joy. She is survived by Brett Kaiser, Taytum, Payton, Qinsley, Mason, Michael G. Martinez III, Kyrie, Carter, and Kayah Martinez, Niklaus, Temperance, Amari, and Michaela Tyquiengco, Jerrick, Kyano, and Liam Toves, Logan, Lennox, Leilani, and Lincoln Martinez, Caliope Quinata. Her grandchildren were the light of her life, and her love for them knew no bounds.

In addition to her immediate family, Edith leaves behind countless friends and relatives who were touched by her kindness, generosity, and infectious smile. She was known for her warmth and ability to make everyone feel welcome, no matter where she was.

Edith's legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. Her spirit, her love, and her dedication to family will never be forgotten.
