Funeral service for Mr. Dwayne Marquis Hooks, 38 of Killeen, TX will be held Friday, September 24, 2021, 6:00 p.m. at Chisolm's Family Funeral Home in Killeen, TX. A private family interment will be held at a later date.

Visitation will be held two hours prior to the service (4:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.) at the funeral home.

On Tuesday, September 14, 2021, Dwayne Marquis Hooks, loving son, brother and uncle left the earth for his heavenly home at 38.

Dwayne was born on December 9, 1982, in Chicago, IL to Carolyn Ann Cannon. He was a praise dancer, mine minister and singer. In Addition, he was a professional cosmetologist and entrepreneur. Dwayne enjoyed dancing, ministering and music. He loved his nieces, nephews and spending time by himself. He also loved laughing with family over the good old times that the family had together. He was known for his infectious smile, kind heart and sweet spirit as well as his ability to slay some hair.

Dwayne is preceded in death by his father, Walter; grandmother, Asie Lee; auntie Deborah, uncle Michael and grandfather John.

He is survived by his mother, Carolyn Ann Cannon; brothers: Parrish and Lemont Cannon; a slew of nieces, nephews, a host of cousins and his best friend Rico Milan.
