Funeral services for Mrs. Dorothy A. Donnell, 75 of Killeen, TX will be held Wednesday, March 10, 2021, 9:00 a.m. at Unity Baptist Church in Copperas Cove, TX. Burial will follow the service at the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen, TX.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, March 9, 2021 (6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.) at Chisolm's Family Funeral Home in Killeen, TX.

Mrs. Donnell passed away March 3, 2021 in Killeen, TX.

Dorothy A. Donnell was born February 24, 1946 to parents Bessie Mae and Clarence Miles in Waco, TX. She graduated from Moore High School in 1964 in Waco, TX.

She married Joe F. Donnell, Sr. on December 31, 1974. They were married for 40 years until his death.  She also attended McLennan Community College in Waco, TX receiving her Nursing License. She worked at Hillcrest Hospital for several years until being stationed in Osterholz, Germany as a military spouse where she spent a decade in Germany traveling abroad with family. Upon returning to Killeen, TX she worked for Killeen ISD for twenty plus years as a Nutrition Specialist until retirement.

Left to cherish her memory: five sons: Andrew G. Donnell of Odessa, TX, Darrell W. Donnell (Kelly) of Killeen, TX, Anthony D. Donnell (Tammy) of Killeen, TX, Terry E. Donnell (Erica) of Colorado Springs, CO, and Joe Donnell Jr. (Kisha) of Copperas Cove, TX; one daughter: Rhonda R. Windley (Aaron) of Ellenwood, GA; two brothers: Clarence Miles (Elizabeth) of Houston, TX and Arthur Henley of Waco TX; three sisters: Emma Echols (Willie) of Waco, TX, Linda F. Allen of Waco, TX, and Bettie J. Mitchell (Kenneth)of Winston-Salem, NC; 22 Grandchildren and 13 Great- Grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. The family would also like to mention her longtime best friend and confidant Ms. Donna Thompson.

Dorothy is preceded in death by her husband Joe F. Donnell Sr., parents Bessie Mae and Clarence Miles, brothers Billy F. Miles and Willie G. Miles, and sister Clarise Tomlin.
