Funeral services for Ms. Desiree TaWanda Clark 23, of Killeen, TX will be held on Saturday, November 23, 2024, 1:00 p.m. at  Chisolm's Family Funeral Home in Killeen, TX. Burial will follow the service at Copperas Cove City Cemetery, in Copperas Cove, TX.

Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. prior to the service.

Desiree "Desi" TaWanda Clark, known for her smile, laughter and her unyielding positivity, passed away on Wednesday November 6, 2024, in Temple, Texas. She was known for her warmth, generosity, and agape love for her children, family and friends. She was born December 10, 2000, to parents Yolanda Clark and Billy W. Duffie in Temple, Texas.

Desi attended and graduated in the year of 2020 from Crossroad High School, Copperas Cove, Texas. She worked at Ebony & Ivory Child Care Center in Temple, TX and at Great Play Place in Killeen, Texas. She grew up attending Christian House of Prayer in Copperas Cove and the Killeen location.

She leaves to mourn and will be lovingly remembered by her beloved children, son, Malakai R. Carrington, daughter Anora R. Carrington, best friend and children's father, Carlos Carrington; mother Yolanda L. Clark of Killeen, TX; father Billy W. Duffie Sr of Temple, TX; brothers, Billy W. Duffie Jr. of Temple, TX Devontae Clark, Desmond Clark, David Clark, all of Killeen, TX; maternal grandmother, Wanda L. Scruggs of Killeen, TX; great grandparents, Eugene Wilson of Waelder, TX, Virginia Wilson of Kempner, TX; uncles, Danny Clark, Las Vegas, Nevada and Robert Clark of Killeen, TX; Aunt Cristina Clark-Keown of Round Rock, Texas; and a host of great uncles, great aunts, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Desiree grew up in Copperas Cove, Texas with her mother and 3 brothers where they spent a lot of time challenging, laughing and loving on each other. This is where she learned how to have a calm but competitive lifestyle. Her life was her two children, they were her sunshine and equally she was their bright star.  Known for her sweet and delicate but demanding voice, she would go out of her way to help anyone in need. Desi loved music and having fun, but the children were her first priority.

Desi's legacy is one of unyielding gratitude, kindness and generosity, she would give her all for those to have some. She was a go-getter, and a doer, always desiring to achieve her set goals. Her reach was as far it was wide, and she was cherished deeply by many. Desiree, you'll be missed by all, and your legacy of love will forever be embedded in our hearts and mind. We love you!
