Funeral service for Mrs. Delores Jeffries, 75 of Nolanville, TX will be held Saturday, August 28, 2021, 11:00 a.m. at Life Cathedral Worship Center in Waco, TX. Burial will follow the service at the Elm Mott Cemetery in Elm Mott, TX.

Visitation will be held Friday, August  27, 2021 (6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.) at Chisolm's Family Funeral Home in Killeen, TX.

On August 16, 2021, Delores (Webb) Jeffries departed this earth to be with her Heavenly Father in Paradise.

Delores was born August 3, 1946, in Waco, Texas to the late Otis Webb Sr. and Lucille Webb. She attended McLennan County schools graduating from Carver High School.

In 1988 she met and married Louis C. Jeffries, a soldier in The United States Army. He would say it was love at first sight after he asked her to watch his hat. That's where their story begins, together they share nine children.

As a child she attended The Presbyterian Church under the leadership of her grandfather the late Rev. Edward T. Robinson. Many of us would hear her say she had the best of both worlds being brought up in the Presbyterian Church and later in life becoming a member of the Church of God in Christ. The C.O.G.I.C. church changed her life. Her journey in the church began under the leadership of Pastor Sherman Davis followed by Rev. Solon Gee, Pastor Ira Thomas, and Bishop A. Ladell Thomas Sr., all of Texas. She also served under Pastor Oliver Green of Kansas and Dr. Charles E. Lowe. Upon moving back to Texas, she served under Superintendent Richard Thomas, Dr. Rudolph Jackson, and Superintendent Robert R. Ellis (son-in-law), who recommended her to become a License Missionary with the blessings and approval of Bishop S.E. Iglehart and the late Supervisor Annie M. Cooper.

Delores, known to many as Mother Jeffries, has been recognized by her Pastor, Superintendent Robert R. Ellis and her Bishop, S. E. Iglehart for her commitment to the work of a servant. Working diligently in the local, state, and national Hospitality Department and Sunshine Band. Mother Jeffries believed in taking care of her Pastor, she served as Pastor's Aide President faithfully, she considered the church to be her second family where she would take care of the youth, feed the people, and give of her time, talent, and treasure to anyone.

In 2015, Mother Jeffries became ill and was later diagnosed with Alzheimer's. Her husband Louis Jeffries, known as "Pops" to many, stood by her side and took care of her in her home with the help of family and friends until her demise.

Mother Delores Jeffries is preceded in death by two brothers, George Edward Webb, and Otis Webb Jr., two sisters, Sadie Mae Webb, and Queen E. Atkins along with one niece and three nephews. She leaves to cherish her memory her loving husband Louis C. Jeffries, five daughters, Yolanda Daly (Dennis), Trudy Ellis, Shawn Jeffries, Ann Jeffries and Kendra Jeffries; four sons Gentry Campbell (Patrice), Kerahn Jeffries, Ali Jeffries and Rashawn Jeffries; Three sisters Ida Pittman, Anne Butler Jackson, Mary Walker (Steve) and Patricia Bridges; Several grandchildren, Jamar, Lazarus (Shaquinta), Terrance, Isaiah, Otis, YaQueen, Madison, Cameron, Brian, Jalen Erica, five great grandchildren Sania, Lazarus Jr., B'yanka, Olivia and Giselle. One uncle Edward Robinson, one Aunt Laura Bell Moore, two sisters-in-laws, Pam Cowley, and Dorothy Anderson a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family, and friends.

If she were here, she would remind us to always keep faith in God and keep Him first knowing that God is our refuge and strength. She will be missed... but in our hearts she will live on forever.
