Funeral service for Ms. Delois Foster, 75 of Killeen, TX will be held Saturday, January 8, 2022, 1:00 p.m. at Chisolm's Family Funeral Home in Killeen, TX. Burial will follow the service at the Killeen City Cemetery in Killeen, TX.

Visitation will be held two hours prior to the service (11:00 a.m. - 1:00p.m.) at the funeral home.

Delois (Sasser) Foster Aka Honey, age 75, of Killeen TX, passed away at midnight on 12/12/21 in her home. She gave over to the battle of pancreatic cancer.

Honey was born in Jefferson, TX on March 16 ^th , 1946. She graduated from Jefferson High School in 1964. Shortly after graduating, she married Albert L. Foster on 12/24/1964; they were married for more than 40 years and had three daughters. As an army wife Delois served four tours of duty to include Panama, Germany, and 2 separate tours to Fort Hood. Delois worked as a day care teacher, a switch board operator for the military, a unit clerk for the OR at Scott & White, and eventually retired from the Temple Veterans Affairs Hospital in 2013 where she worked as a unit clerk in the coumadin clinic.

Delois was a faithful member of Grace Christian Center in Killeen for 18 years, and later a member of Victor Gospel Chapel until the pandemic shut down. She sought spiritual refuge in Temple at the House of Faith under Pastor Quincy Evans. Delois was a Christian woman, and her love of Jesus was evident by her walk. She loved the Lord, her family, and she loved her fellow man. She showed compassion towards others, and consistently went out of her way to help needed souls. She had numerous hobbies: cooking (fried pies), sewing, crafting, gardening, but the thing that brought her the most joy was spending time with her family and serving a beat-down in a fierce game of Yahtzee! Delois was a gentle loving spirit who touched the heart of everyone she met.

Delois is survived by her three daughters and their spouses, Christal & Dre Thomas, Lenora Foster, Sheila & Autha Polk, five grandchildren – Shanice, Adrian, Niarra, Sabina, and Cheyenne, three greatgrandchildren - Amaya, Adrian Jr., and Amelie, her eldest sister Doverine Sasser, and a host of wonderful nieces, nephews, and cousins. Delois was preceded in death by her parents Tom and Beatrice Sasser and her five beloved brothers Raymond, Alton, Nobel, Walter, and Nathaniel.
