Funeral service for Mrs. Cynthia Brown Sanders, 63 of Nolanville, TX will be held Wednesday, February 24, 2021, 1:00 p.m. at Chisolm's Family Funeral Home in Killeen, TX. Burial will follow the service at the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen, TX.

Viewing will be held two hours prior to the service (11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.) at the funeral home.

Cynthia B. Sanders was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend.  She transitioned to eternal rest on January 31, 2021 at age 63.

Cynthia was born to the late George Blue Brown and Alice Kelly Brown on October 8, 1957 in Montgomery, AL.  During her high school years, she met her husband and soulmate, Andre E. Sanders, to whom she was married to for 43 years.  Together, they had 2 children:  Andre Jr. (Kenia) and Adrain (Arieal) and 4 grandchildren:  Kyla, AJ, Austin, and Khloe.  Cynthia is also survived by her siblings:  Katrina Brown, Stephanie Delaney (Reginald), Mona Lisa Brown, Shirley McCall (Xavier), Bobby Brown (Brenda), Rex Brown (Cheryl), George Brown (Wanda), and Ishmael Kelly (Yolanda).

Cynthia graduated from the University of Phoenix with a Bachelor of Science in Human Services Management and was a Graduate Student at Denver University where she was working towards a Master's Degree in Social Work.

During her earlier years, she served as the Director of the Hope Pregnancy centers in Killeen, Texas.  She then continued serving her community as a Social Service Assistant at Darnall's Behavioral Health on Fort Hood, TX, a program which she helped establish.

Cynthia will be remembered by those closest to her as a gifted seamstress, talented interior decorator, and great cook.  She loved going to the park and was an avid walker/jogger. She loved to shop, not only for herself but for her grandbabies whom she adored.  She was a fashionista and had the gift to make the simplest things look like a million bucks. Above all, Cynthia will be remembered as a Godly woman who sought and relied on the Lord with all her heart.  she was full of the Lord's joy and hope.  a prayer warrior like no other, the one her family and friends called upon when we needed to go to battle. We will miss her so much, but we are comforted in knowing that her radiant energy will continue to shine through those that were impacted by her life.
