Funeral services for Mrs. Corrine Morris Hooper 98, of Temple, TX will be held on Wednesday, September 6, 2023, 11:00 a.m. at Chisolm's Family Funeral Home in Killeen, TX. Burial will follow the service at Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen, TX.

Mother Corrine Morris Hooper, 98 years old passe away August 30, 2023, in Temple, TX. Corrine was born September 19, 1924, and raised in Timpson Texas, where she attended school.

She was preceded in death by her husband Eugene Hooper and son Milton Eugene Hooper; parents Jim and Sally Morris raised by George and CD Roberts; sisters: Lena Mae Williams, Sal Mae Thompson, Rose Morris; brothers: G.R. Roberts (Brother), Glen Roberts, Emmitt Roberts, Elmer Ray Roberts.

Corine was lovingly known in the family as "Sugar Bee" and Granny." She was in the Order of the Eastern Star. Corrine retired from Travis State School as a Recreation Therapist, where may of her co-workers became long-term friends knowing her for her devoted sense of compassion, loyalty, and deep-rooted care for others. Corrine was known in the community as the househod to go eat. A few of her specialties were Peach Cobbler, German Chocolate Cake, Pinto Beans, Spaghetti, Dressing, and Chicken & Dumplings. She was also known for her love of plants and handmade macramé (Plant Holders).

She is survived by Marvin Ray Hooper, Scotty Holman, Horace Raymond Grace (Sons/Nephew), Tressie Renee Hooper (Daughter/Granddaughter), Linda Hooper (Daughter in Love); brother: Dr. George Roberts Jr. (Mary) of Freeport, Texas; Granchildren: Tami Hooper Middleton, Tracie Dortch, Keith Hooper; A host of Great Grands and Great Great Grands.
