Claudia Daieshea
"Marva" Scott
Sep 27, 1970 — Jul 31, 2022
Killeen
Funeral service for Ms. Claudia Daieshea "Marva" Scott, 51 of Killeen, TX will be held Saturday, August 27, 2022, 1:00 p.m. at Chisolm's Family Funeral Home in Killeen, TX. Burial will follow the service at the Killeen City Cemetery in Killeen, TX.
Claudia Daieshea Scott, affectionately known as Marva, was born on September 27, 1970, to Louis George Scott and the late Sadie Doreen McNeil in Kingston, Jamaica. Marva transitioned peacefully while resting, on July 31, 2022, due to kidney failure. She confessed her life to Christ early and was a believer.
Marva grew up in Kingston, Jamaica. She had the privilege to be raised among the Chisholm Avenue Lane community. Everyone in the lane loved Marva and looked out for her as one of Ms. Mac's kids. Marva migrated to the United States when she was 12 years old. She maintained lifelong friendships with others from the Chisholm Avenue Lane community.
In the United States, Marva initially lived in New York for several years. She would later move to Florida, where she lived in Jacksonville and Fort Lauderdale. Along her stays, Marva would amass many friends. People instantly felt a connection with Marva. She had a dynamic personality, enthusiasm, and joy and loved communicating with others.
Marva moved to Killeen, TX, to be closer to her sister and increase her chance of receiving a kidney transplant. Marva successfully underwent two kidney transplants. Marva was strong and persevered, but her diabetes and kidney disease had taken a toll on her body. Unfortunately, her health struggles remained, presenting many challenges in her life. Marva, however, remained happy, loved to laugh, and made other people happy.
Marva had such a deep love for her son Jahsheef Melchior and her grandkids Sabian and Sadie Henderson. Her grandkids gave her a renewed sense of happiness. Marva often shared something special about her interactions with or from her grandkids. Marva had such great plans for her son, grandkids, family back in Jamaica, friends, and family. We will all miss her love, enthusiasm, and the joy she shared with others. Marva is truly in a better place.
Marva leaves to mourn: her son, who she loved deeply, Jahsheef Melchior; two grandchildren, Sabian Henderson, and Sadie Henderson; sister, Denise Brooks-Robertson; brother, Garth McCarthy; father, Louis Scott; siblings, aunties, cousins, nieces, nephews, and family members.
Marva is preceded in death by her mother, sister, and other relatives.
Claudia Daieshea Scott's life didn't come to an end with her death; her love and memories will forever be in our hearts. May her light, love, and all she uniquely means to us never cease to exist.
