A Reflection of Her Life Well Lived

With humble hearts and unwavering faith in God's promise of eternal life, we celebrate the mother's beautiful life and Homegoing of Mother Claudette Williams, who peacefully answered the Father's call on July 10, 2026. While our hearts are saddened by her departure, we rejoice knowing that she has entered into the presence of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Born on October 23, 1927, Mother Claudette had a greater ministry than caring for her; she lived a life that exemplified faith, love, sacrifice, and unwavering devotion to God and family. She was a woman whose quiet strength, gentle spirit, and steadfast prayers blessed everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. Mother Claudette was united in holy matrimony to the love of her life, Harry Williams Sr. Together they shared more than sixty years of marriage. Their marriage stood as an example of God's enduring love until Harry was called home before her. A devoted wife and career homemaker, Mother Williams believed there was no greater ministry than caring for her family. Her greatest joy was serving the Lord. For more than forty years, Mother Williams faithfully worshipped at Victory Temple Original Church of God in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. She served faithfully on the Pastor's Aid Ministry, always willing to lend a helpful hand wherever she was needed and, of course, behind the scenes. She loved reading the Holy Scriptures, and her favorite bible verse was Mark 12:30: "And thou shalt love the lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind."  That scripture was more than words it was the way she lived every day. If you wanted to find her happy, you would find her in her bible, in her kitchen, or surrounded by family. She was an exceptional cook and baker whose home meals brought family together around the table. Her famous three-layer cakes became a family tradition for every special occasion. But if you ask those who knew her best what they remember most. Many would smile and say she made the BEST Kool-Aid in the whole State of Pennsylvania, but it was never just about the Kool-Aid. It was about the love she shared, the conversations around the kitchen table, the laughter, and the way she made everyone feel.

Claudette Williams was preceded in death by everyone. She was the sole survivor. Recently, she was preceded by her daughter, Claudine Green. She leaves to celebrate her life and cherish her precious memories, her loving sons, Harry Williams Jr., Harlan Williams (Tracy), and Harold Williams (Robin). She also leaves a lasting legacy through her beloved grandchildren: Theresa Mosley, HamHamandi Gant, Cornell Green, April Williams, David Green, Harry Williams III, Sheri Jones (James), Martina Williams, Joshua Williams and Ethan Williams, along with more than twenty great-grandchildren. She also leaves to celebrate her life, a host of nieces, nephews, church family, lifelong friends, and all whose lives were forever enriched by her love and example. We rejoice knowing that Mother Claudette Williams has exchanged earthly labor for heavenly rest. The hands that baked cakes, Kool-Aid and turned the pages of the bible are now resting in the presence of Almighty GOD.

Funeral services will be held August 14, 2026, 11:00 a.m., at Victory Temple Original Church of God in Pittsburgh, PA. Burial will follow the service at Homewood Cemetery, Pittsburgh, PA.
