With deep sadness we announce that Chi Kim Larson was called home on November 1, 2023.

A resident of Killeen for the last 31 years, she opened her heart to her family, friends, customers, who became friends, and almost everyone she came across. She lit up a room with her smile and laughter, regardless of the situation.

Overcoming the struggles of war, she left Vietnam to come to the United States, leaving behind her family and a life of singing, acting, and hospitality. She dreamed of a more fruitful life for herself and the family she left behind. Acting on faith, she overcame every obstacle with her eldest daughter by her side.

On March 15, 1985, she married Manuel B. Larson, a military veteran whose heart she captured in Augusta, Georgia. Chi was a dedicated military wife, mother, and grandmother.

Born to Cao Van Can (father) and Duong Thi Sau (mother) on October 16, 1946 in Can Tho, Vietnam, Chi Kim now joins them and her siblings who preceded her in death (sisters; Cao Thi My A, Cao Thi Ngoc Em and Cao Thi Tam and brothers; Cao Van Kiem and Cao Ban Ut).

Leaving behind a legacy of courage, love, respect, friendship, kindness, and joy, she will not be forgotten by her family, who strive to continue her legacy, and anyone who was blessed to have known her.

She is survived by: her husband, Manuel B. Larson; brothers in Vietnam, Cao Van Bay and Cao Van Be; three children, Sue (Celestino II) Ramirez, Toni (Aaron) Walker, and Long (Emily) Tran; grandchildren, Lauren Gomillion (Jermaine) Danford, Mark Wagner, Darien Walker, Celestino III (Courtney) Ramirez, Nevaeh Tran, Nekai Tran, and Nevin Tran; and great grandchildren, Jaylen Moore, Victoria Wagner, Mark Jr.  Wagner, Jorkyn Danford, Celestino IV Ramirez, Arcadian Wagner, and Cooper Ramirez.
