Funeral service for Mrs. Cecily Janeen Thompson 53 of San Antonio, TX will be held Saturday, January 6, 2024, 11:00 a.m. at Chisolm's Family Funeral Home in Killeen, TX. Viewing will be held two hours prior to the service (9:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m.) at the funeral home. Interment will be held at a later date.

Mrs. Cecily Janeen (Causey) Thompson affectionately known as "Kippy". She was the oldest child of Samuel & Deborah Causey. She was born on March 4, 1970, in Tampa, Florida, she passed away December 28, 2023, in Temple, TX. She was educated in the public schools of Hillsborough County and was a 1988 graduate of Gaither High School. She also earned a Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Phoenix.

She was a dedicated teacher in the Killeen and Temple ISD's.  Most recently she worked as a client experience executive for Wipfli, LLP

She married her childhood sweetheart Alfred Thompson III on January 16, 1999.

She leaves to cherish her memory: her husband, Alfred Thompson; mother, Deborah Causey; brother, Samuel Causey Jr.; sons, Tyrone McKinney Jr., Tyrell Thompson; stepdaughter, Alisha Thompson; grandchildren, Brooklyn McKinney and Rashad Thompson; In-Laws, Alfred & Carolyn Thompson Jr.; uncle, Darrell (Inell) Wooden; aunts, Donna Wooden, Danette (James) Boyd, Betty Lovett, Elouise Philon, and Carrie Washinton; cousins, Chenette Wooden, Bryan Wooden, Twanda (Jason) Barton, Shawnda Wooden, Darrell Wooden Jr., Alvin Boyd, Joe Allen, Brian Allen, Britnee Allen, Mia Wooden, Austin Tillman; nephews, Samuel, Trevonte, Marquis, Quintion, Samaurie Causey and Damon Hughes; niece Samara Causey; god mother, Consuella Leath; god sister, Carla Williams; god brother, Bennie Williams; special BFF's Tawanda Foster, Camille George, Misty McPherson, Meshelle McPherson, and Tanya Cade; and all of her friends that became family at Bible Way Missionary Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her father Samuel Causey Sr. and her brother Dante Causey.
