Carolyn Ann Stevenson (Griffin) was born on April 24, 1946. Carolyn was born and raised in Marlin, Texas (Rocky Hill).

Carolyn attended Booker T. Washington School in Marlin, Texas where she was active in school and in the community. Later in life Carolyn went on to receive her Cosmetology License and had many other successful endeavors.

Carolyn found Christ at an early age and continued to keep God first throughout her life. While living in Marlin she was a faithful and active member of Bible Way Church Family Worship Center, under the leadership of Bishop Lonnie Garrett for many years as the head church usher. When Carolyn moved to Killeen, Texas to be closer to her family, she joined Agape Church of God in Christ under the leadership of Superintendent Michael Johnson and First Lady Ella Johnson, and she continued her role on the church usher board.

As time passed, Carolyn's night vision started to decrease. As she tossed and turned with the decision of finding a closer church, God led her to Bible Way Church in Killeen, TX, under the leadership of Superintendent Robert Ellis, Sr., and First Lady Trudy Ellis, of which she was faithful and active on the church usher board, and later moved into one of the roles of a mother of the church. As the years continued to pass, God led Mother Carolyn to reunited with Agape Church of God in Christ in Killeen, TX, still under the leadership of Superintendent Michael Johnson and First Lady Ella Johnson. She remained a faithful and active member, and one of the church mothers until her health declined.

Carolyn went home to be with the Lord on March 30, 2022. She is preceded in death by her mother and father, two loving grandparents, Eugene Griffin, Sr., and Eliza Griffin; two brothers, Eugene, Jr., and Charles House; a sister-in-law, Maggie; a God sent mom, Maggie Jewel House; and a beautiful loving daughter Wandra Diane Jackson.
