Celebration of Life Ceremony for Mrs. Cammie Lee Robinson, 82 of Killeen, TX will be held Saturday, November 27, 2021, from 1:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. at 1306 Washington Avenue, Asbury Park, NJ 07712.

The family requests all flowers be sent to Good Hope Baptist Church close to the date of the Celebration of Life Ceremony.

Mrs. Robinson passed away October 28, 2021 in Killeen, TX. She was born October 2, 1939 in Salisbury, NC.

Cammie Robinson (formerly Bailey) was born on October 2, 1939 in Salisbury, North Carolina Mrs. Robinson was predeceased by her parents William S. and Martha Luckey as well as siblings Willard Luckey, Emma Mayfield, Marilyn King, and Melvie Edwards. She was called home and departed this life on Oct 28, 2021 in Killeen, Texas. Mrs. Robinson was known to many in the community as Ms. Bailey, Aunt Cammie, and Ms. Cammie. She was a member of both Marlboro Baptist Church and First Church of God and Christ in Killeen and a lifelong member of Good Hope Baptist Church in Asbury Park, NJ where she, many of her children and grandchildren were baptized.

Cammie was educated in the Neptune Township Public School District and aspired to a career in education where she taught for over 20 years in the Asbury Park School District. While working in Asbury Park, she took a "front seat" approach in closely monitoring the education of her children and grandchildren and would say "The only person that can stop you from attaining what you want in life is you". If anyone stepped out of line she was right there to straighten you out. Cammie was a resident of Asbury Park, New Jersey for over 40 years. After retirement Cammie left New Jersey and ultimately made Killeen, Texas her home. She traveled frequently between Delaware, California, Maryland and back to New Jersey visiting with her children, grandchildren, and her great-grands. She also enjoyed reading books and was known to read several novels in a weekend. Many of her books were donated to various libraries in both Texas and New Jersey. Cammie was known for sharing her library of books with others.

Mrs. Robinson had a great sense of humor, a beautiful smile, loved to shop and could uplift even the most heavy-hearted person by helping them see the brighter side of things. She kept many young adults close and shared her life experiences with so many in hopes that she could impart knowledge to improve their circumstances. She had an abundance of love for her family and was known to always have her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren in all of her plans. Cammie loved celebrating the accomplishments of her family, reading LOVE stories and the Bible early in the morning were her favorite pastimes. Traveling and singing in the choir were near and dear to her heart.

Left to cherish her precious memories are her loving sister Johnsie Cunningham (Florida), her children Pamela James, Sandy Pringle, Prentice Bailey (Cindy), Delores Bailey-Price, Monica Benson (Lanell), Erica Drayton, Johnsie Bailey-Barkley (William), Areatha Bailey, Michelle Johnson (Melvin) as well as 21 grandchildren (Frank, Derek, Byron, DaVisha, Danielle, Jerome, Javon, Keena, ShaLyce, Letisha, Michael, Te'Erra, Jarrell, Janay, Prentice III, Jaria, Milton, Stephen, Korahon, Kwame, Nasir) as well as 31 great-grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews and a multitude of adopted sons, daughters and cherished friends.
