Interment with Full Military Honors for Mr. Boozier West 92 of Killeen, TX will be held Wednesday, July 24, 2024, 1:00 p.m. at the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen, TX. Mr. West passed away June 29, 2024, in Temple, TX.
Boozier West was born on March 3, 1931, in Elkhart, Texas, to Edward and Nellie West. He was one of fourteen siblings, all of whom preceded him in death. In his youth, he embraced the Church of Christ. Later in Life, he married Ms. Bobbie Jean Gaston, who preceded him in death. Together they were blessed with two children: their daughter, Mrs. Regina Ann Sedberry of Killeen, Texas, who also preceded him in death, and his surviving sons, Mr. Kenneth Allen West of Houston, Texas, and Quinton West of Killeen, TX.
Boozier served honorably in the US Army for 25 years, which included his dedication during the National Defense Service. Throughout his distinguished military career, he received various accolades such as: The Medal with 1 Oak Leaf Cluster, The Korean Service Medal with 5 Bronze Stars, The United Nations Service Medal, The Vietnam Service Medal with 3 Bronze Stars, The Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal with 60 Device, The Bronze Star Medal, and The Good Conduct Medal with 1 Silver Clasp. Additionally, he earned Six Overseas Service Bars, reflecting his steadfast commitment and courage in service to his country.
Mr. West retired from his military service and spent the remainder of his life in Killeen, Texas.
