Funeral service for Mrs. Beulah Mae Morris, 86 of Killeen, TX will be held Tuesday, July 22, 2025, 11:00 a.m. at Anderson Chapel A.M.E. Church in Killeen, TX. Burial will follow the service at the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen, TX.
Visitation will be held Monday, July 21, 2025 (6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.) at Chisolm's Family Funeral Home in Killeen, TX.
Mrs. Morris passed away July 9, 2025, in Killeen, TX.
Beulah Mae Morris was born April 24, 1939, in Fairview, Arkansas to the late Lenora and Polar Blevens. Beulah was the fifth of six children. Beulah accepted Christ at an early age at the First Baptist Church in Sparkman, Arkansas. Beaulah became a member of Anderson Chapel church in Killeen, Texas and remained a faithful servant until her health began to decline.
Beulah was a proud graduate of Lincoln High School in Camden, Arkansas. She later went to business school to pursue a degree in business management.
Beulah moved to Wichita, Kansas where she met and later married Sergeant Claude Morris. During his time in the military, she was able to travel and reside in many places such as Hawaii, New Mexico and eventually Texas to name a few.
Beulah later settled in Killeen, Texas. In Killeen she was employed by AAFES where she was the manager of one of the military stores until her retirement.
Beulah was a very soft-spoken person and a strong-willed person; at the same time, she was spoiled. She had an undeniable love for her children and grandchildren. There was absolutely nothing she would not do for them, and they would do the same for her. Beulah was a very loyal friend to many. She loved traveling and had a passion for bowling. She was part of a traveling bowling team for many years.
On July 9, 2025, Beulah entered the gates of Heaven to be with the Lord. Beulah was preceded in death by her parents Lenora and Polar Blevens, her husband Sgt. Claude Morris; two daughters Debra Haynie and Darlene Morris; one sister Anna Marie; three brothers Leotis Blevens, Eugene Blevens, and Percy Shugart.
Beulah's legacy will continue to live on.
She leaves to cherish her memory, one daughter Phyllis (Warren) Allen of Bellwood, IL; four sons Leslie (Regina) Morris of Moreno Valley CA, Dwayne Morris of Killeen TX, and Christopher (Yadi) Morris of Satellite Beach FL; nineteen grandchildren; twenty-three great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
