Funeral service for Mrs. Betty Jean Young, 73 of Killeen, TX will be held Friday, March 24, 2023, 12:00 p.m. at Chisolm's Family Funeral Home in Killeen, TX. Burial will follow the service at the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen, TX.

Viewing will be held two hours prior to the service (10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.) at the funeral home.

Mrs. Young passed away March 12, 2023, in Round Rock, TX.

Betty Jean Young was born January 20, 1950, in Fayetteville, TN to parents Alma Patterson and Joe Hall.

Left to cherish her memories is her loving and devoted sons, Eric (Antonia) Young of Killeen, TX, Cedric Young of Killeen, TX; her precious grandchildren, Kayla, Kamill and Eric Jr. "EJ" all of Killeen, TX; siblings, Terry Patterson of Antioch, TN, Tyree (Donna) Johnson of Clarksville, TN; brother-in-law, John Thompson of Antioch, TN; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends

She was preceded in death by her parents Joe Hall and Alma Patterson. Also, her loving husband, Leroy Young Jr. and her two brothers, James Henry Rowe, and Alvin Johnson. Her five sisters, Mamie Ruth Stevenson, Ida Mae Bass, Pamela J. Thompson, Alma J. Stevenson, and Patsy Tillman.
